Meet the Umbrella Heater
We built this little powerhouse for one reason: to get serious heat into seriously tight spaces. Think of it as a compact halogen lamp that throws concentrated radiant energy exactly where you need it—when you need it.
What’s Under the Hood
It runs on 400V, which is a smart move. That higher voltage means you get more wattage without overloading the wiring. The whole unit is just 300mm long, so you always know what kind of heat footprint you’re getting. Pop it onto a control panel and you’ll feel it—the heat-up is quick, and the output stays steady. And at 2500W, it delivers serious heat flux for demanding jobs. Just keep in mind, that kind of power means your machine’s cooling and wiring need to be up to the task.
The Build
The heart of it is a halogen element, tucked inside a quartz envelope. That material handles the high temps like a champ and delivers infrared energy consistently. It uses an R7s base—two pins, simple and direct. So when it’s time to replace a burn-out, you just pop it in. No messing around with the whole setup. It’s a straight swap for existing fixtures.
Where It Shines
This heater is your go-to when you need focused radiant heat on moving materials or in a cramped zone. It’s perfect for plastic processing—pre-heating, drying—and for spot heating in automated gear. The combo of 400V, the compact 300mm size, and the halogen output gives you performance you can count on, time after time. You get fast response and stable temperature control, as long as the rest of your system can handle the heat.
