
We built this 400V halogen infrared warehouse heater for one simple reason: get heat where it matters—fast—without throwing money away heating empty air. It’s direct radiation, not convection. So the warmth lands right where you need it—on the floor, on pallets, on equipment—and you feel it the moment it turns on.
Power, voltage, and size—kept practical
We went with 400V because that matches the industrial three-phase supply most places already have. It keeps wire sizes reasonable and voltage drop under control, especially when you’re running several units. And yes, it’s dense. 2500W packed into a 300mm tube. That’s intentional: a small footprint, big heat output. But with that kind of punch, the electrical side has to be set up properly. Make sure your contactors, fusing, and thermal protection are sized for the load, and plan for the inrush current on cold starts.
The guts: halogen, quartz, and the R7s base
Inside, the halogen element sits in a quartz envelope, which helps keep the filament temperature steady. That means a more stable output spectrum—and a longer lamp life compared to standard incandescent. The R7s base isn’t flashy, but it’s the right choice. It makes solid contact, handles the heat, and keeps lamp replacement straightforward. A drop-in job, no fuss. The coating is there for a reason too: it reflects infrared back toward the filament. More of the heat goes where it should, less is wasted.
Where it shines—warehouses, docks, and work aisles
This heater isn’t trying to warm the ceiling air. It targets the cold spots that make work miserable—near docks, along aisles, right where people and product move. It fires up instantly, delivers steady radiant heat, and keeps the work area comfortable without trying to heat the whole volume. That means quicker warm-up and lower operating cost when you’re doing spot heating. One thing to keep in mind: the fixture runs hot. So give it the clearance it needs, and make sure your mounting hardware is up to the thermal demands.
