This is a high-output halogen infrared heater, built for outdoor spots that need serious warmth. It runs on standard mains voltage, and the wattage and voltage are matched to heat up fast and hold steady. So it gets hot quickly—and stays hot, even when the wind picks up or the temperature drops. The tube length is chosen to fit common outdoor heater housings and brackets. That means you can drop it into an existing setup without redesigning the mount. Small footprint, big heating zone.
Materials and Design: What’s Inside, and Why It Matters
Inside, the halogen cycle keeps the filament stable at high temps. That’s the secret to consistent output over time—no slow fade as the filament thins. The envelope is quartz, not regular glass, because quartz handles thermal shock better. On-off cycles outside are brutal. Quartz just deals with it. Anti-fog works through a sealed optical path and controlled internal pressure. When the outer surface stays clear, the infrared energy gets out clean—no reflection loss—so the warmth stays even across the area you’re heating. Anti-splash is built into the front assembly and seals, so rain and spray can’t reach the live parts. We use an R7s connector because it locks in securely, handles high temperatures, and stays tight even with vibration. It’s the practical choice: fewer loose connections, fewer hot spots, fewer headaches.
Real-World Use: Outdoor Garden Reliability
Outdoor gardens are tough on gear. Moisture, dust, sudden temperature swings, wind-driven spray—this heater was built for all of it. The IP65 rating, plus anti-fog and anti-splash, keeps the light clear and the electrical side dry. Now, a quick heads-up: this is a high-temperature radiant heater. That means the housing and wiring around it need to be rated for the heat. If the enclosure is too small or doesn’t breathe, you’ll shorten the life of the components no matter how good the lamp is.
